Ultrasonic analysis of intermolecular interaction in the mixtures of benzene with N, N-dimethylformamide and cyclohexane at different temperatures
Abstract
The ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity values have been measured at 288 K, 298 K, 308 K and 318 K in the ternary system of N,N-dimethylformamide, cyclohexane and benzene. From these experimental data, acoustical parameters such as adiabatic compressibility (β), free length (Lf), free volume (Vf), internal pressure (ßi), relaxation time (τ), Gibb’s free energy (G), acoustic impedance (Z) and their excess values have been estimated using the standard relations. The results are interpreted in terms of molecular interaction between the components of the mixtures.
