Molecular Interaction Studies on Some Binary Liquid Mixtures at 303.15, 308.15, 313.15 and 318.15 K
Abstract
Density (r), viscosity (h) and ultrasonic velocity (u) of binary liquid mixtures of anisaldehyde with o-cresol, mcresol and p-cresol over the entire composition range have been measured at 303.15, 308.15, 313.15 and 318.15 K. Experimental data have been used to evaluate the excess ultrasonic velocity (uE), excess enthalpy (HE) and excess free volume (VfE ). The computed results were fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation. These results suggest that specific interactions are taking place in the components of liquid mixtures.
