After discovery of fullerene in 1985, a gate for vast field of research has unlocked. A cage like structure having varying carbon composition, high reactivity, easiness for substitution and complexation with different metal exploit the application of fullerenes in all fields. With the formation of adduct with various type of metal and compound bulkyball of carbons has a wide application in therapeutic field. From diagnosis to treatment of diseases can be carried out. This bulkyballs after modification leads to antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-HIV and antitumor neuroprotective and antiviral activity. This review article focuses on usefulness of the molecule and its applications interlinking the diverse interdisciplinary areas of science and technology are summarized.
