Comparative cytological study of Trigonella foenum graecum and Brassica compestries¢

Abstract

Thiosemicarbazides have found to contain antimicrobial, antiviral activities against various virus, bacteria and fungi strains. The objective of the study was to study the seed germination and physiological maturity stage of Trigonella foenum graecum and Brassica (L.). The effect of various concentrations of 1- γ picolinoyl-4-phenyl Thiosemicarbazides on mitotic Indices in root tip cell in Trigonella graecum and Brassica compestries was studied. Brassica plants have been the subject of much scientific interest for their agricultural importance. Seeds used in exacerbations, cancer and tumours. Roots emollient and diuretic, juice used in chronic cough and bronchial catarrh. Trigonella foenum graecum balances blood sugar levels, and contains choline which aids the thinking process. Fenugreek has been the focus of several studies concerning the treatment of diabetes and the prevention of breast cancer. Its ability to balance hormone levels aids in treating PMS and menopause.
