Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the potential antioxidative effects of herbal extracts of aerial part of Bupleurum
Aureum, Hill-Growing Saltwort Herb, Fumaria Schleicheri and Cynara scolymus on carbon tetrachlorideinduced
oxidative stress in vitro and in vivo. It was observed, that administration of plant extracts to rats significantly
improve the oxidant status in blood serum and in the cytosol of rat liver. It was found that all explored herbal
extracts have antioxidative properties.
